God was never on your side, μια διαμαρτυρία απο τους Motorhead για τους θρησκευτικούς ηγέτες που έχουν σκορπίσει τον θάνατο, στο όνομα του θεού, σε όλη την ανθρώπινη ιστορία.

Τι κομματάρα είναι αυτή ... η πρώτη κουβέντα που μου βγήκε, ακούγοντας το στο ραδιόφωνο του αυτοκινήτου  ... motorhead !???? αναφώνησα ... δεν το είχα ακούσει ξανά!!

Κοιτάζω στις ενδείξεις του ραδιοφώνου και βλέπω Motorhead God was never on your side, Ο Lemmy είναι, και αν κρίνω απο τη φωνή του, δεν θα πρέπει να είναι απο τα τραγούδια της "πρώτης" μουσικά νιότης του .. και έτσι ήταν ... God was never on your side, μέσα απο τον δίσκο Kiss Of Death που κυκλοφόρησε το 2006, οι στίχοι και η μουσικοί γράφτηκαν απο τα μέλη του συγκροτήματος Mikkey Dee, Phil Campbell & Lemmy.

Τι πραγματεύεται το τραγούδι 

Πρόκειται για ένα τραγούδι που αντιμάχεται την "θρησκεία κατά παραγγελία". Ο Lemmy βέβαια, ήταν μάλλον αγνωστικιστής παρά άθεος. Η αντιπάθειά του για τη θρησκεία σε αυτό το τραγούδι, είναι έντονα προσωπική και σε μια συνέντευξη του το 2006 είπε, οτι δεν αφορούσε τον εαυτό του, απλώς έστελνε ένα μήνυμα. Πάρα πολλοί πόλεμοι στην ανθρώπινη ιστορία έχουν γίνει με "μπροστάρηδες" θρησκευτικούς ηγέτες που βροντοφώναζαν πως ο Θεός είναι με το μέρος τους ... όχι δεν ήταν ... η θρησκευτική ιδεολογία προάγει την αγάπη και την ειρήνη όχι τον θάνατο!

Και συγκεκριμένα είχε πει :
